Angel of death rears its ugly head on the McKenzie River

Judge, jury and executioner — Karl “The Mule” descended on the McKenzie River last weekend to slay the holdover rainbow trout eeking out the last of their dark, TroutChow-craving days before winter. In a flurry of ping-pong ball sized October Caddis, the battered old hatchery trout rose to the surface to impale themselves. The Mule, unrepentant, was quoted only as saying “The kids love’em.”

Indeed they do Karl. Indeed they do.

You forgot to mention . . . lawyer for the accused, (+) judge, etc.

    Funny post.

If the last stockings were back in August, these guys probably didn’t taste half bad. More caddis, less corn in their feed. Let me know, I’ll go knock a few over myself.
