Am I alone in thinking that maybe that wasn’t such a good idea? I mean, wow, go KP…but getting her down might have been tricky. That being said, those sunflare pics are sweet. T-1 month to daddydom, sir. GL!

Okay, I had a slight heart attack myself, but that could be because I’m wicked clumsy and not pregnant am known to tumble down even small hills. So yeah. Um, KP is totally hardcore!

I’m glad you made it down safe and sound with Baby Stansberry! Looks like it was a great day for a hike!

  3. KP says:

Just to reassure everyone, they have done major trail renovations on the butte this fall and we took the long way up and down so there was no rock scramble required (the pic shows the only time I had to use my hands to hoist up). Baby Stansberry was safe and sound the whole time.

  4. Way to go KP! My wife and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary last fall with a hiking tour along the North Shore of Lake Superior. She was also 8 mos pregnant at the time, just a month shy of her due date, and made nearly every trail alongside me, except for one nefarious trail section at Tettegouche State Park that involved a few thousand near vertical steps to get down to the base of the High Falls on the Baptism River. The views were well worth it, and the hikes rewarding.

That hike will be a great memory to share with your baby after it is born. Good Luck!

I love the sun flare photos — looking appropriately super-heroish
